Tearing Down the House

Kay and Debbie had a bone to pick with Rick.
"Just look at those stairs!" said Kay. "They could collapse at any minute! A person could break something important, walking on those!"
"What do you care about people?" scoffed Rick.
"We all depend on them," snapped Kay. "Even you."
"But what worries me," said Debbie, "is the roof. Look at that! It could go any minute! Then what?"
"It's really sad," said Rick, shaking his tiny head, "that all the two of you want to do is tear down the house that supports you. It appears that only I appreciate this grand old house. Where could a roach and a spider find better pickin's?"
"You have a small logic problem," said Debbie the Roach. "What we're doing is noticing that someone is tearing down the house. When you eat the house, it's you who is doing the tearing down."
"Of course, we could discuss this further in my parlor," suggested Kay the Spider graciously.
"Thanks, no," said Rick the Termite.
